Note: This upload contains a missing no static modellib file adding back gates occupied by static aircraft.

Optional Configuration: To remove various objects on the airport, go to “drzewieckidesign-airport-kmdw-chicago-midway\scenery\Chicago Midway MFS” and rename the following files:

• Remove 3D People: KMDW_PEOPLE.BGL -> KMDW_PEOPLE.BGL.disabled
• Remove Parked Cars: KMDW_CARS.BGL -> KMDW_CARS.BGL.disabled
• Remove Terminal Interiors: KMDW_INT.BGL -> KMDW_INT.BGL.disabled

Optional Configuration: To remove static aircraft, rename the following files:

• drzewieckidesign-airport-kmdw-chicago-midway\layout.json -> layout.json.static
• drzewieckidesign-airport-kmdw-chicago-midway\layout.json.nostatic -> layout.json
• drzewieckidesign-airport-kmdw-chicago-midway\scenery\KMDW_PLC.bgl -> KMDW_PLC.bgl.static

Midway is a base for Southwest Airlines, which carries over 95% of the passengers at the airport. The airport’s current name is in honor of the Battle of Midway. The Battle of Midway was a major naval battle in the Pacific Theater of World War II that took place on 4–7 June 1942, six months after Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor and one month after the Battle of the Coral Sea. The U.S. Navy under Admirals Chester W. Nimitz, Frank J. Fletcher, and Raymond A. Spruance defeated an attacking fleet of the Imperial Japanese Navy under Admirals Isoroku Yamamoto, Chūichi Nagumo, and Nobutaka Kondō near Midway Atoll, inflicting devastating damage on the Japanese fleet. Military historian John Keegan called it “the most stunning and decisive blow in the history of naval warfare”, while naval historian Craig Symonds called it “one of the most consequential naval engagements in world history, ranking alongside Salamis, Trafalgar, and Tsushima Strait, as both tactically decisive and strategically influential”.

    I tried renaming those files to get rid of the static ac but it doesnt work? Any Idea what to do? This scenery is a stuttery mess with detailed city as well

    You cannot remove the static aircraft if you purchased the scenery through the Marketplace because of Microsoft’s encryption.

        My apologies, someone on the forums mentioned 1.1.0 but it appears that was a specific hotfix for Xbox users. Everywhere else says 1.0. Had some terrain issues, so I’ll give it a reinstall to see if that solves it. Thanks!

      Download one of the 3 options above if u use the Torrent option u need uTorrent (its an external app that lets you download stuff & this option is the fastest of them all) when you have the .zip or .rar file on your PC extract it to a normal folder and then pull it into your community folder. Hope that helps 😀

        It worked fine second time around. The only thing I noticed was a southwest 737 constantly being pushed back and forth from the terminal. Is there anyway to remove the default static aircraft?
