MSFS 2020/2024

  1. Is there a reason why when i load in the airlrport the entire terminal is missing and iam on the grass. I tried the mfs addon linker and scaned for modellib conflicts but there isnt any. whats the reason? I installed it by extracting the folder into the community folder, it works fine with other airports

  2. To the people who saying the runways are missing, please actually load into the Airport and you’ll see all the runways there. I looked using Dev cam and zoomed into them all and pretty good. I am yet to try and program a flight so I am unsure regarding the ILS’s but if not, just use the runways that work. Thank you SimPlaza 🙂

Update: I have checked the MCDU and all the ILS’s are there. I am yet to fly but if it’s there I am sure it will work. Some parking areas are bad, so I would just stick to the main terminal than remote parking near RWY 33R, it’s near where the tower is.

  3. Sadly the newest version, v1.1.0 , it conflicts with the LGAV of flytampa, and there are many figures of people at LGAV, that have pink textures.

      1. As it turned out, i had mixed files and textures from the old and new CYYZ of flytampa. So i solved it.

  4. Up close, the Flytampa textures are vastly superior. Reg is very amateur up close, over done PBR, They look fine at 500m+ but not good enough while parked at the gate.

Plus Flytampa has WAY better framerate and just a overall better color balance.

  5. So 06L/24R is being closed for rehabilitation this Spring.

Ironically “Changed runways open/close setup.” has left 06L/24R in tact, while 15R/33L and 06R/24L have disappeared entirely. Oh FlyTampa… this is what happens when you rush because you dragged your ass and then a competitor releases the same airport.

  6. Beautiful Airport, but in VR crashes MSFS2020…. If you use VR, I’d say not to this… MSFS2020 takes to long to get going for it just to crash

  7. Not sure how to fix, but I’ve noticed that the windsock on YYZ (and a few others I’ve gotten) are blowing the wrong way, ie INTO wind. Anyone know how to fix? Thx!!!

  8. The PAPI lights only show white when I was on final approach on 24R. Does anyone else have this issue?

  9. I have never been in this place or country but this looks so good I would like to see this airport in pearson.

    1. i’ve been here irl, would not recommend. i’ve been to many international airports, CYYZ is my least favourite of them all.

      1. yup… terrible airport if you want to depart on time… Horro stories all over for me… 6 hours delay, then 5 hours delay then yesterday 2 hours delay…. terrible airport!

    1. I find that the colours of the buildings, jetways, etc. are more accurate in the RegDesigns YYZ than the FlyTampa one. But the FPS difference between the 2 is just so substantial.

      1. I concur. The runway, parking, and taxiway colours I do prefer as a generality on the RegDesigns YYZ.

    2. Interesting as I really like the detail in both. After sampling both, I have to go with flytampa solely on the basis of FPS performance. I am in single-digit fps with regdesign. The experience of flytampa shows through their ability to optimize the airport (they’ve been making scenery since FS2004) vs. Regdesign which is a few (talented) students from Ontario who are starting up (MSFS2020 being their first endeavor). I also like the modeling of gates on flytampa since it shows the yellowbacklit gate sign on the T1 and T3 buildings. .

    3. Thank you for the comparison pictures. Definitely RegEdit looks better than FlyTampa. FPS? Lets see when they come back with the optimization update.

      1. texture quality and some modeling of reg’s work close-up is not as good as they seem in the snaps. the airport only looks gorgeous if you are far away.

  10. A much better and lighter in size version (as well as more fps friendly) compared to the regdesigns. The only things i dont like, are: the missing star on the map, the blurred image when in satelite mode and the fact that the aircrafts are a bit too forward/close to the terminal when parked.

    1. Yeah the satellite mode when you are choosing the airport is so messed up you can’t even see anything except the dots to select for gates/parking spots. It is definitely more FPS friendly, but still I get some issues when looking around. Not nearly as bad as the RegDesigns one though.

    1. The difference is insane. I get a feeling that a lot of those monster file sizes are down to lack of optimization and aren’t only the result of more complexity.

        1. That could be a good reason but begs the question of who is using this in a flight simulator. Perhaps I’m old school here but my interest in an airport add-on stops pretty much at the gate. Rarely do I feel the need to wander through the inside. That’s not worth keeping an additional 11Go of data around.
