  1. Hey Simplaza? Not sure what’s going on with the latest update but the interior does not show regardless of the configuration. Out of the box I have the interior turned on but it’s still off.

  2. Had to uninstall this airport add on as it started to cause weird things to happen in flight, As soon as i removed the airport from the community folder everything went back to normal.

  3. hi simplaza, the interior is not showing, despite double checking that it says “phnl scene t1interior.bgl” and not “off”, can u help double check please bc i wanna see the interior of the terminals! thank you and appreciate it!

  4. I try this addon, i thought it will add Pearl Harbour, it doesn´t
Not much different this addon from default airport.
    Not worth

  5. I’m tired of airports that are designed to look good in screenshots for the marketing, terminal internals, etc, but then are simply horrible to actually fly around, stuttering, lagging.

    1. The recent update actually makes it super smooth for my older system. It was almost unplayable before. Only bug i spotted: every time i select rwy 8L from the world map, i end up lined up on 4L -_-

  6. Glad I didn’t buy it. Terrible stuttering here with a 5800x3d and 4070 build. Maxing out VRAM. I know devs who can pull similar quality without killing performance.

Will avoid anything from inibuilds for now.

  7. Performance was good for approach and landing, 50-60fps. Taxi in was fine, but when I turned a corner to taxi into the gate (GSX and additional static aircraft from flightsim.to) it tanked to 10-15. I have had similar issues with YVR. Probably a VRAM issue as I only have 8GB

Correction: Their sceneries are amongst the best in the industry, they have learned how to do them correctly from working directly with Asobo on projects, including aircraft and airports, and all companies reuse “generic” textures. If you don’t want “poor performance and stutters”, get a real PC or stick with default airports. These airports are for the big boys who appreciate the effort and accept that it is impossible for a properly modelled airport to be as performance-friendly as a default one.

And you should thank SimPlaza with every comment you make here.

  8. I enjoyed flying from PHNL back in FS2004. In this scenario the FPS is about 60 on the Astro One and about 35 on the Fenix A320. RTX3080 with Nvidia GeForce Experience Optimised+wave and clouds MAX.

  9. I bought this airport and honestly it’s amazing! I don’t have any stutters at all so I’m not sure what the others are talking about, maybe you need to optimize your rig or the sim.. I’m getting around 50-60 fps on ultra. Recommend for anyone looking to do some Hawaiian hops.

    System : 4090 – Ryzen 9 7900x – 64gb DDR5 Ram

    1. Are you using DX12 or DX11 ?

The issue (stutters and low FPS) are related to DX12. No issue with DX11 but if, like me people have a RTX 4000 series GPU they need to toggle on DX12 to be able to activate frame generation to double the FPS

    1. No problems with what details settings? FSLTSL or not? Have you tried hovering above the main terminal and checking your FPS then?

    2. Ray Proudfoot (aka OD_Emperor)

I have no problems with an RTX 2060, so I’m not sure what you’ve done to screw up your setup. Thanks, SimPlaza!

  10. Me, as a hawaiian fan, waited really since publication of MSFS2020 for this Airport PHNL. Now its available and I am happy, of course it can be better, but first better than nothing! Thanks SP

  11. iniBuilds not capable of creating anything with decent FPS. They should learn from FlyTampa, Aerosoft, and many others how it is done and until then no more purchase from me.

  12. Best airport ever with Brussels, you even get the monument by the pass.
One or two buildings are missing by the golf course. I would also like a few more mil aircraft. I decided to get rid of HNL photogrammetry since it brings strange trees in the mil area. I’m gonna be flying there for quite a long time. I hope for a better coverage of Hawaii by Google now. Next, Kaneohe, Wheeler?

    1. Fixed it by deleting the scenery indexes. letting the sim rebuild at start up.
A procedure i always do normally but forgot this time around. delete all .dat files in the following folders.

      for xbox children

      C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes

      for the real simmers

      Steam: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SceneryIndexes
      MS Store: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes

    1. I didn’t even install it, already knew it would be an FPS killer. these guys need to learn how to make sceneries and understand not everyone owns an RTX 4090.

  13. I have I7 9700k, RTX4070, 32GB, 3440/1440 ultrawide monitor. Found that it was a stuttering mess with FPS at 10-20. Changed settings in the inimanager and nothing helped. In MSFS, I switched from DirectX12 to DirectX11 and it solved my problems. Never dropped below 40fps after that.

    1. 9700K is not good enough for MSFS with realistic detailed aircraft, FSLTL and ultra settings especially Terrain LOD and ground vehicles etc. MSFS is very CPU heavy. The guy on their forums has a 9700K too.

    2. Does the iniManager works with this version and other ini sceneries downloaded from SimPlaza? And where i can get this wonderful tool

    3. If you’re not on a 40-Series card, I would generally suggest using the DX11 version. It doesn’t have things like the weird missing textures bug and is much friendlier on the VRAM.
But for the 40 Series Frame Gen is just too good in this game to miss out on, which sadly is DX12 only.

    4. You don’t have enough VRAM. I have a 3440×1440 monitor and my GPU sometimes uses up to 15gb of VRAM with airports like this.

Hopefully your texture quality is set to high or medium. Ultra needs 16-24gb VRAM.

  14. JUST A REMINDER: a portion of the profits goes to the Maui Fire Victims, if you decide not to purchase this scenery, please think about donating directly to the cause through the red cross or any other foundation that supports the victims 🙂

  15. Absolutely terrible performance near the main terminals, I suggest waiting for a patch or two before using this.

  16. Little known fact: Honolulu is also know as “the slideshow city”.
I get as low as 9 fps when flying above the main terminal (no other add-ons), it’s probably the worst fps-killer so far.

    1. Agreed, though it’s strange I’m still getting the laggy overdetailed interior even when disabling some of the BGLs

  17. FINALLY real love for Honolulu airport! Now all we need is good Oahu photogrammetry that doesn’t require 64GB of RAM with a 3090ti to run it. Thank you Simplaza!!!

    1. You mean optimized Photogrammetry?
The Waikiki downtown one works well on my 2070S Ultra settings but it’s got overlap from Oceania World Update POI

    1. Ray Proudfoot (aka OD_Emperor)

I love your name, and it must be true since you use one to play MSFS. Folks like you really should stick to default airports and leave the unwarranted criticism of one of the best scenery AND aircraft developers at the gate.

      1. You do realize that saying a scenery has bad fps doesn’t make it a bad scenery Ray? I mean, iniBuilds makes beautiful scenery, but they are notoriously bad on FPS.

Accept the criticism Ray instead of being a fanboy.
