The World Trade Center has been an iconic landmark in New York City since its opening in 1973. The c … read moreomplex consisted of 7 buildings, the best known being the Twin Towers, 417m high (One World Trade Center) and 415m high ( Two World Trade Center), were the tallest buildings in the world for decades. On a typical day, around 50,000 people worked in the towers, with another 200,000 people visiting. The complex was so large that it had its own zip code, 10048. The towers offered spectacular views from the observation deck (located at the top of the South Tower) and the Windows on the World restaurant (located at the top of the North Tower). Here the entire complex was recreated, with the exception of the World Trade Center, which could not be included due to photogrammetry and other current constructions. The buildings contain a functional helipad, a visible office room on the 106th floor of the North Tower and the South Tower restaurant on the 107th floor. There are a lot of details to include and I had to be very selective about what would be recreated in the project so that it wouldn’t make it heavy. during the simulation. I want to include an interior view of the Windows on the World restaurant on the 107th floor of the North Tower in the near future, plus there will be a project update soon to improve street quality on the complex block and other minor details. Horrible FPS, the buildings have no LODs at all, so even if your all the way at LaGuardia, your rendering in an entire extremely detailed building complex. Even up-close, its way too detailed, your FPS will go to 0.

Well that’s patently false lol. TP leaks already show some pretty fantastic crash destruction mechanics coming along. This is how it was with P3D and FSX. If you mean that Asobo/Microsoft will never have first-party crash destruction mechanics, you are correct, but MSFS will absolutely have crash destruction mechanics, most likely in 2023 if the TP leaks for MSFS come to fruition!

Thought this was stupid to buy for the price it was at…glad Simplaza got it so I could try it out. At first, thought all the floors of the towers would be modeled. Nice to see but kind of useless at the same time as it would be cool as a walk around and see what the WTC inside looked like. It’s only one room in one tower (office) and one room in another (restaurant). It is nice to see from a distance but Samscene needs to be disabled and I could only see it useful this way as a vintage flying where everything was changed to FS2002 scenery.

Wow, I had an addon like this back on FSX. As somebody who grew up in the 80s, it’s surreal seeing the twin towers in MSFS. If somebody got around to making classic JFK and LGA to go with the twin towers that I could fly the upcoming ini A300 out of for an old-school New York experience , I could dance!
Its a weird feeling watching all those 80’s movies with the towers in it. I grew up during the 80’s also so I know exactly what you are talking about.

These are to those freebies on flightsim.to what MSFS 2020 is to Flight Simulator 95. If you want fidelity and the interiors, there’s (obviously) no comparison to the low-effort crap on flightsim.to.
