Our next airport destination for Microsoft Flight Simulator is LICA Lamezia Terme International Airport!
Located in Calabria, Italy, LICA is roughly situated near the toe of the Italian “boot” and is an airport that has gone through almost constant upgrading and modernisation since its opening in 1976. Serving both domestic and international services, the airport sees a number of low-cost service … read mores as well as seasonal flights from much of Europe.
Located on the western side of the airport is the 2nd Army Aviation Regiment “Sirio” base which currently operates AB 412 helicopters that are soon to be replaced with AW169s.
Great care has been taken to reflect the airport as it looks today with the extended runway and new apron parking. We have tried to capture the unique terminal design features, which have been expertly modeled with high-res textures and PBR as well as optimised for Xbox.
