  1. has anyone figured out why the GSX is being disabled on these airports?

I have done all that the instructions have shared – reinstalled several times, but there is nothing being changed on these airports.

  2. i have renamed the addon folder to “dev123-airport-kclt-charlotte” but when i strat GSX it tells me that “GSX has been disabled in this airport by user settings”

          1. I tried that, went in the Jetways and disabled KCLT, KORD and KSDF and nothing, still get the GSX Disabled message.

    1. Closed permanent due to noise abatement and lack of safety zones on approach due to new structure in the area. It can be used in emergency situations.

      1. Yes, this is true IRL. Runway 5-23 has been closed for many years now, since 2013 or so??

RWY 23 was often used for turboprops and regional jets. ATC would squeeze them in, between airplanes on runway 18L/36R.

But with 3 parallel runways, it is hard to sequence airplanes on 5/23. And, very long term, the airport authority wants to build a FOURTH parallel runway. Unfortunately, there is a major Interstate HWY to the West of the airport, and just West of that, the land slopes downward several hundred feet.

      2. That’s not totally exact. RWY 05-23 is permanently closed due to heavy inbound/outbound traffic on the 3 parallel runways that cannot permit crossing runway operation anymore (in KPHL yes but not anymore at KCLT). The runway 05-23 is used as a taxiway only (from terminals to 36C). It cannot be used in any case (even in emergency). There is a bunch of old aircraft (DC-6, DC-3, F-14,etc) parked on the east part of the runway at the threshold 23 and before the 36R-18L , they are parked on this runway while waiting to be transfered on the new air museum that is currently being built. A 4th runway will be built in a very near future (they started preliminary work on adjacent future taxiways), this new runway will be just west of the 36C-18C. All gates at terminal E now have jetbridges for CRJ’s and E-145’s. A brand new terminal is being constructed north of terminal A, along side the road going to the main terminal. A new taxiway is also being built from the cargo apron and will link this apron directly to 36C without having to taxi all around. they also changed taxiway lines all around terminal E and D (to be precise, betwen abeam gate E40 and down to the intersection of taxiways M and G) with much narrower lines between them in order to accomodate more aircraft taxying to and from E gates (only for CRJ and E145), yellow line will remain in the middle for bigger aircraft in case of while the blue line (the closest from the terminal is used for outbound traffic and orange (the closest from taxiways C and M) is used for inbound aircraft.
Now you know everything about the recent changes at Charlotte airport (the 7th busiest airport in the world).

  3. Is anyone else having trouble with jetways at concourse E, The jetways that sit low to the ground wont connect to the plane

    1. Developer mentioned they are placeholder until GSX. They sit low to the ground like that in real life, but FS2020 jetways aren’t compatible with FSDT’s model or something like that for the low concourse E gates
