Jeppeson2001 is proud to announce the release of Niagara Falls City Pack & Heliport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Niagara Falls spans the border between the province of Ontario, Canada and New York State in the USA.
Formed by the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls have the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of mo … read morere than 50 m (160 ft)
The scenery area starts at the North Grand Island Bridge and ends further down the Niagara River at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge.
POI markers have been added throughout the area.
Features:
• Niagara Falls – Animated with sounds, mist, and lighting effects. Includes Horseshoe Falls, American Falls & Bridal Veil Falls
• Custom 3D modelled Hotels & Casino’s of the Niagara Falls City Skyline.
• Custom animated rapids, and rapid textures along the Niagara River.
• Custom 3D modelled docks on both the USA and Canadian sides. I have included crowds of tourists queuing at the docks to represent how busy the area is. These have been modelled at a very low poly count which ensures that your FPS is not impacted – Please note they are not supposed to be seen at very close range. The people have been rendered in the correct poncho colours – Blue for USA (Maid Of the Mist), Red for Hornblower (Niagara City Cruises), and Yellow for Behind The Falls Tour.
• Niagara Helicopters Heliport (CPQ3) has been included with a hand crafted Terminal and interior, along with Hangar, hangar interior, and animated doors.
• 13 Helipads to choose from at the Heliport
• Custom made Wind Socks
• Custom made anemometer (weather station)
• Custom made helipad lights and obstacle lighting systems
• Animated freight train with sounds. The train crosses the Whirpool Rapids Bridge and passes by the Heliport
Points of interest include:
• Animated tourist boats – Maid Of the Mist, and Hornblower.
• Animated Incline Railway, and City Cruises Funicular Railway
• Animated Zipline
• Animated Sky Screamer ride with sounds located at Marineworld, just south of the falls.
• Animated Whirpool Aerocar which crosses the Niagara Whirlpool and which first opened in 1916.
• Ontario Power Generation Station, and Niagara Power Vista Station.
• Lewiston-Queenston Bridge
• Whirpool Rapids Bridge
• Michigan Central Bridge
• Niagara River Parkway Bridge
• North Grand Island Bridge
• International Control Dam
• 1918 Dumping Scow Barge shipwreck
• Niagara SkyWheel
Some notes on known issues/bugs:
This has been a very challenging scenery to recreate as Niagara Falls sits right in-between two world updates (USA & Canada). This along with the fact that it is where two separate photogrammetry areas meet. Consequently this means that in some areas I have been unable to adjust the terrain with any of the current available SDK tools.
• Horseshoe Falls has a terrain LOD bug at the base which clears as you get closer.
• Terrain humps located adjacent to the Skylon Tower (Part of the Canada World Update) and on either side of the Rainbow International Bridge (USA Update II)
• Animated train sinks slightly into the terrain at the curved section of the track.
IMPORTANT!
• Both the USA World Updates II and X, along with the Canada World Update XI are mandatory for this scenery to display correctly.
• I have designed the scene in a way that it integrates with Photogrammetry, therefore photogrammetry must be ‘ON’ for the scenery to display correctly.

Hi admin, first of all hats off. Second of all, how do I get the humans (on the ships) to render colours, and not just blue?
scroll down on the comment section, it’s raincoats
Hope this have an easter egg with Woody Woopecker falling Niagara Falls on a barrel
I mean, I love easter eggs too, but usually they comment on pop culture at the time. I’m not sure anyone under the age of 70 would even get that reference, so why waste the time coding the logic statements and ensuing euler tables for something that maybe one person will get?
53 year old here and loved Woody and the gang. Chilly Willy, Wally Walrus and the others. Thanks for the reminder!!
what?
I had no idea what you were talking about, so I looked it up. In 1956, a cartoon was released where a famous woodpecker character named “Woody” wants to go over the falls in like a wooden barrel (I guess that was a thing?). This woodpecker asks a falls guard who proceeds to attempt it. I guess there are some various “humorous” attempts at the woodpecker attempting to go over the falls, but in the end, the guard winds up in a barrel and goes over himself. Woody, dressed as a policeman, is awaiting him at the bottom to give him a ticket for breaking the law.
Where the humour is in this, I’m not sure, except in maybe the irony that he who sought to go over the falls ended up parodying the person who would typically fine someone for doing so. However, that’s not that funny, nor does it offer any sort of comment on the nature of the times (I guess except to not break rules). I’ve honestly watched this episode on YouTube (it’s available) multiple times and just can’t understand the humour. It’s almost Dada-esque in its approach.
It literally took you longer to complain about it than it would for the dev to put it in the product.
This is arguably the best overall scenery add-on ever developed for MSFS2020. The level of detail is absolutely astounding, including multiple custom animations throughout. The icing on the cake is that this scenery has obviously been meticulously optimized for maximum performance; the entire download is only 759mb – incredible for this much detail. If you fly helicopters at all in the sim, this scenery is a must have.
I’d say it’s close to being the best, but Victoria Falls addon takes the cake for me here! This is a fantastic #2, though 😉
100% VF and Niagara are the best add-ons to the sim!
Not sure about anyone else, but I have the default bridge along with the bridge from this addon showing together.Other than that, it’s a lovely addon.
If you are talking about Whirpool Rapid Bridges, this is how it looks in real life, one is for vehicles and the other for railroad.
daytime it looks Great! However Horseshoe Falls at nighttime the water is purple. Is it like this for anyone else? Not supposed to be this way, is it?
Indeed they are. During nighttime in holidays and significant occasions the water is illuminated and colored by powerful lights.
Look at this website for example, gorgeous photographs:
https://www.niagarafallsstatepark.com/attractions-and-tours/illuminations
Lol it’s actually supposed to be purple and blue, for real!
Gracias Simplaza
Sadly this addon work only with the photogrammetry and for me is worse, I can’t enjoy this addon. I would prefere to can off the photogrammetry.
I confirm no pink/missing texture for me, the addon works fine. It has a lot of details and animations hence there is an impact on frame rate if compared with other simpler addons but still well playable.
All world updates installed and photogrammetry on, yet the people are either yellow green or blue textures which is clearly a problem.
Read the description….The coloured ponchos aren’t a texture problem.
Aren’t those raincoats?
Man….. This is rainwear. You can get rain gear if you take a trip to the falls. This is not a programming error
LOL They are raincoats for visitors😀
The people under the fall are yellow because are wearing the yellow raincoat is not a bug LOL
The people are supposed to be that colour,it’s there poncho colours..it’s in the description above 👍
This is intended. See the Screenshots on e.g. simmarket of this product.
Dans la vidéo de présentation, les personnages sont également en bleu, vert et jaune. Il me semble que c’est fait exprès parce qu’ils portent des vêtements de pluie. Regardez à 1min06. https://youtu.be/PfUe73-yVfA
Racist.
Joking, it’s the same issue here too.
Nope thats correct ! People on the falls are wearing raincoats 😉
It looks as intended, recreating in this way what is seen from aerial pics, since all the passengers of these ships and other water attractions are covered with waterproof raincoats from head to toe according to the color of each operator.
How do I tell if I have all these world updates?
Look inside your MSFS content manager
Fabulous!, thank you very much Simplaza.
I am not sure if anyone else has had this problem, my water textures and buildings and the bridges around Niagara falls are all pink. I am sure it is clashing with another scenery or library, but I am not sure which one. Would love some help here. thanks
Ensure you don’t have the free addon, Niagara Enhancement or Niagara falls animation (required by another free addon not related to Niagara, I think it’s a Philippines one)
Requires MSFS World Update 2 (USA), World Update 10 (USA), World Update 11 (Canada) and Photogrammetry enabled in order for everything being displayed correctly.
Sorry, my mistake, there is a road bridge and a rail bridge side by side on the map. The scenery is excellent and works perfectly.
i was wrong! it works good. it was my flight sim that was buggy, not that addon
Dang that was fast! And thank you soooo much SimPlaza! 🙂
Stutters like hell for me, thank you anyway!!!
That was fast – thank you SimPlaza !
THX YA SP. U PEEPS R AWESOME!!!! Was hoping to get to give this a try before buying to see how it runs……
