  3. I honestly didn’t have an issue installing this. Just removed v1 beforehand then ran the installation. Using i5 and 3070 and v2 performance is no different from that of v1. Happy enough with the scenery.
    My issue however is with the default AI traffic. It seems that no matter what the wind direction, all aircraft takeoff from either 28R or 28L and all aircraft land on 10R or 10L.

    Despite winds from the west, ATC ( not vatsim ) directed me to land on 10R. I requested it to be 28L and ATC redirected me without issue.

    Is there something fundementally wrong with EIDW v2 that allows this to happen on a constant basis? Never experienced anything like this with v1.

    1. Use aiground and aiflow to force runway usage, i had same issue and was tired of it. I have it set to depart on 28R and land 28L

  4. I’ve installed this the same way i’ve installed 100’s of other sceneries on here but with this one i still see the base scenery

  5. I had no problem with previous version but this one crashes to desktop everytime…Even using Addonlinker, updating C++ etc

  6. Hi i installed and extracted to community folder for some reason the scenery does not load in did i miss something?

  7. I can confirm that the Nool Aero was causing the problems for me. I use GSX VDGS and that seems to interfere. I deleted the entire Nool folder and get reasonable FPS now. Not perfect but okay!

  8. Tested this airport. Got horrible performance especially when zooming in. Removed the Nool VDGS. Got good, almost great performance now. Doubled almost tripled my FPS.

    1. that is very wierd ? never thought nool vdgs caused fps issues, can you confirm this for other airports as well ?

  9. FPS drops 40 to 24 on 5800X3D. Good thing is FPS hit is after landing and no CTDs.
    Above average scenery but nowhere near the quality of Pyregue / FT / FB / etc.

  10. This thing still completely kills my 5800X3D, even when departing from it at FL100. Something still massively wrong with this when compared to the (honestly more detailed) Aerosoft EBBR, which also maxes out my CPU but still to a useable level without massive second-long stutters and 17 FPS when facing the terminal.

  11. Detailed? Perhaps, though quality is really average. Frame rate friendly? Not at all – it is completely unoptimized.

  12. Yesterday I had 3 CTD but I’m not sure if it’s sim related or this airport. I had 1 on approach and 2 in the stands. After lowering my graphic settings from ultra (it’s been on this for months) the issue went away and I managed to complete a few rotations.

  13. I join the peeps who say they get CTD. I was at about 5K’, about to make my turn to RWY 10R, and BOOM! CTD!

  14. Never had a single CTD on this with any version, including this one. Problem is at your end I think.

    1. I was fine on the first version until I reinstalled it because of a computer swap and now it CTDs. Weird.

  15. I’ve tested V2.0.0:

    • 5 out of 6 RWY lightings are not matching the real world.
    • Partially flickering window textures both at night and during daytime.
    • Winter texturing is good, except RWY 10L/28R, which is covered in thick snow, making it very difficult to see where you’re going.

    What’s good?

    • RWY slope and markings correct
    • good texturing (rwy, apron, terminal)
    • good modelling,
    • no static aircraft blocking stands

    MK Studios did a very good job on EINN but EIDW is having couple minor issues described above.

    1. The problem with snow on the runway is sadly a sim issue. With concrete, the textures are so bright and the sim for some reason just adds more snow. Darker textures = less snow. French developer logic I guess

      I criticized then for charging for an upgrade and told them that others like Gaya Loww and Limesim EDDB were free and they blocked me on fb. They won’t see a cent from me again. Hail Simplaza

    2. It is an almost completely new version done from the ground up – why do you expect them to give it to you for free?

    3. It’s not an “upgrade”, they completely started from scratch and rebuilt it from the ground up with all new models etc. Basically the same as if v1 never existed and they built the airport for the first time, hence why it’s v2 and not v1.x For 12.00 for owners of v1, it’s a a bargain.

        Well, nice excuse, then every developer could just issue a half-hearted product twice and then make a serious attempt… double profit… well, i’m not buying it. Literally and Figuratively.

        1. Have you got any proof that was MK-Studios’ intention or are you basing this on your own speculation? MK-Studios provided plenty of screenshots of v1 at release to let consumers know exactly what they were paying for…

  16. The upgrade is solid, but not at the standard of the top developers.

    If I’d laid out extra for this having bought the original I’d be unimpressed. I’m sure plenty of work went in. It still should be a free upgrade.

    1. Try the C++ solution below. If you have done it already and starts crashing again, just try reinstalling (no need to uninstall if you already have the latest versions; I just find out that reinstall from Control Panel > programs and features offers you the option to repair, just repair and restart as asked. It has worked for me when out of the blue the CTD started again. The repair put all back to normal). I hope it works for you

  17. CTD after update. I had CTD before but installed visual studios fixed it. Now CTD again after NZ world update

    1. there is a new version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 redistributable: 14.34.31938 for the x64 and x86 versions (note this ends in 8 while the previous I posted ended in 1). I have it working with them. Just speculating, it may be that SU12 used this new version, but don’t ask me about the connexion. The fact is that is working. Please try and confirm.

  18. For the ones with CTDs, try installing the very latest Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022. In particular 2022. Open your windows programs and features in control panel and look which C++ you have installed. Search for them in internet download them, uninstall the ones you have and reinstall the new updates ones. The ones that did the trick where C++ 2015-2022 14.34.31931 both for x64 and x68 (I didn’t need to update the others.

  19. I don’t have any CTDs, all working fine. It doesn’t seem to include the new runway, although the description says up-to-date. Is this a compatability issue on my end?

    It does seem pretty heavy on frames in comparison to other aiports.

  20. small off topic note. Simbrief gave me 28R arrival at Dublin which doesn’t exist anymore.
    Not funny arriving at night.
    Seems a bit heavy on frame rates.

  23. CTD is weird with area. I bought it orbx so it’s not just this mod. Even flying into Dublin will crash. After each msfs update it seems fine and then randomly crashes again. Very odd

  24. This airport now crashes the sim EVERY time, no matter rolling back to the previous version or the update. I’m guessing it’s something to do with the AIRAC update MSFS received recently. Its one of the few airports I’ve actually bought, even downloading directly from their servers and doing a fresh install of the airport does not stop the CTD.

    1. I’m getting the impression that this could be a MSFS thing, cause I get CTDs in this area without using EIDW.

  25. I can see a business JSON file inside the main folder. Could this be what’s causing the crash issues. It contains sellers ID ?

    1. Yes, there is the business Jackson and also his seller’s ID…and so what way do you think it might be influencing or potentially causing CTD’s we’ve been experiencing with this EIDW as of lately ?

  26. Humm, I really experience crashes when I attempt to spawn on EIDW (always cold and dark, I don’t do arcade stuff) with both the previous and this v1.1.1. one. I mean, I’m thinking if maybe it is a conflict with We Love VFR or the Birds addon by that guy..no others I can think of….Anyone has any idea ? (besides deleting SimObjects folder and stuff, cuz if I have to do that, I won’t use it at all)

    I’m one of those folks who has 1 CTD a month, only at load screen, never mid flight.
    That means if I have a CTD with something – almost surely everyone else has a CTD with that.

        But but but I discovered something, still !

        A weird behavior of MSFS I’m sure leads some folks towards “the sim is unusable / this addon broke my MSFS / addon devs are evil cuz I had to reinstall Windows bcz of their addons” type of despair and madness!

        FINDINGS:
        Even with everything removed, scenery cache cleaned, rolling cache reconstructed, perfectly sorted content.xml, fine system stability – I got it to whack out on the loading screen again while attempting to spawn on default EIDW.

        Go figure!
        Believe me, I spent the entire day yesterday recreating that crash to figure it out. Yesterday while testing this, I’ve put my simulator through more CTD’s than what it’s been through since the Autumn of 2020 release….times 3 !

        Just to be precise this👇doesn’t relate only to EIDW!
        I found out that no matter what you do, if the sim gets crashed by certain sceneries (still haven’t discovered the type of crash that it has to be in order for this behavior to happen, but it has to be a scenery mod type), with some scenery content induced crashes it is not quite enough that you remove the offending scenery from community folder, rebuild the scenery cache and rolling cache, etc.

        Nope. At least if you attempt to spawn at that place again right away on the next proper sim start – it will crash the same way again.

        After a crash, I must start the simulator (after removing whatever I suspected crashes the sim), and then quit the simulator, quit to desktop.
        To let the sim close properly!

        Anyone?

        If I start the sim and then cleanly exit – then start it again – things will work okay…if the suspected scenery mod really was the culprit, to begin with.

        Sooo…mmmyeeeaah…I discovered that thanks to the latest Dublin by MKS… 😁

  27. Seriously outdated and causes crashes when starting at or approaching.
    I have the last version but don’t know how to share it

    1. Actually that’s right, sorry for my mistake, Orbx version is same and causes same crashes.
      If you experience issues with it just delete model.EIDW_Jetway_Green folder, you’ll miss some jetways but better than nothing.

      1. Still can’t load into airport (CTD, with model.EIDW_Jetway_Green folder removed). I flew into the airport before with no problems. But can’t spawn into it.

  28. to avoid a CTD on approach, i had to delete the SimObjects folder which contains custom Aer Lingus jetbridges which seem to be bugged by SU6 :/

  29. Try deleting your rolling cache and then turning it back on.

    Also need to do the same if you made any manual caches.
