Make sure to delete your “projectcoastline-airport-lirs-grosseto” addon folder before updating. This airport is no longer included as it’s not compatible with MSFS 2024 and hasn’t been updated in a while. If you still want it, download it from flightsim.to here.
Welcome to Project Coastline Italy

Explore over 400km/250mi of Italian enhanced coastline, for hours of VFR fun. Rocks, cliffs, boats, yachts, docks, harbors, marinas, palms, working lighthouses, moving harbor crane lifts, parasols, night lights, animals, and more have been added to improve the overall quality of the coast, which by default is flat and dull. • The commercial harbor of Civitavecchia, Olbia and Fiumicino (Lazio)
• The commercial harbor of Trieste (Friuli-Venezia-Giulia)

    Is it possible to just deactivate certain harbours? I get double objects like boats and cranes around the BMW Genova airport. That way its actually quite heavy on FPS there :/ Too bad, i like the coastline eye candy, and i love genova 🙁

    i dont understand it, sorry. My actualy Project Coastline Italy Folder has more than 3 Gbyte. This File has 133Mbyte !?

          You’re still using old files from before v3.0.0. Remove all of them (as always), then extract the 2 new folders of v3.0.2 into your Community folder (+ cornwall & machu picchu are separate uploads on SimPlaza now).

    amazing addon though ive realized that the added fauna will freeze the sim for up to 10 seconds when you fly low and close to them

      Delete it since it’s included now, you can also delete every other folder except “projectcoastline-scenery-italy” and “projectcoastline-airport-lirs-grosseto”.

    Since this has been consolidated and redefined a bit, I am a bit confused. I am hopeful someone can offer an explanation. One of the dependencies in the readme files is Global AI Shipping Traffic… Is this the same AI available here? If not, do they conflict? I am also assuming they use the same Shipping Library offered here, but I can use confirmation on that as well. Thanks in advance!

    I had to uninstall this. it was putting other POI’s I have installed in the scenery. even after emptying the Sceneryindex and deleting the content.xml and rebuilding. it shown other POI’s im my sim at the LIRS location.

    yes it is 100% compatible with the 9th update from MS, at least here on my side, and i do have the original version and update, like this one. Stefano the developer says it is mandatory to install for free these vessel core mod from flightsim, i dont know if it really interferes with stability if you dont(but you should IMO)…this mod is simply beautiful and is worth supporting this Dev. The west coast of Italy gets alive and beautiful with marinas and cargo ports full of containers plus beautiful hand made cargo ships cheers guys

    Hey thanks for the quick update with this! I am guessing this was released in order to correct any conflicts with the newest season upgrade. I’d love to hear some opinions on how much its needed now that we have a world Italy update. What do you guys think???

    Will i get problems with the terrain (stuttering when close the ground etc…) if i don’t install the mandatory “ItalyDem”? I mean is it REALLY mandatory or is it technically speaking optional after all?

    Out of curiosity, just what was showing up with the optional scenery installed? Also, the folder titled Machu Piccu… I did lots of sleeping back in geography class, but I am relatively sure that is not in Italy either.

    Seguito correttamente procedura installazione ma verificato da gestione contenuto non risulta installato… e non è la prima volta che questo addon non viene installato… qualcuno da dirmi come fare per risolvere il problema?

          anche se la gestione del contenuto non risulta installato non significa che non lo sia. Testalo e vedrai che c’è tutto

        I assume no ships will show in the marinas like we see in the promo photo if we’re using the “Seafront Ships’ addons as opposed to the other mandatory choice?

        Whatever you do, DO NOT download the coastline fix which they insist is mandatory. Took me 3 hours testing mods/redownloading world update etc to figure out that it was the “coastline fix” that was causing me freezes and CTDs over Iceland, even though i’m not entirely sure the fix covers Iceland to begin with (or maybe it does).

          It does cover Iceland. Actually that mod gives a lot of problem. Before it used to freeze the sim in the area of Southern Alaska/North-West Canada but it was fixed. Iceland freeze could be because of SU6. Hopefully they will update the mod again

          Hi, I’m the developer of Project Coastline Italy, just use it when you fly over Italy, and remove it when you are done, very simple. Once Asobo fixes the morphing of the coast and base of mountains, you won’t need the add-on anymore.
