MSFS 2020/2024

  1. Ive seen many reviews and videos about this addons, and for some reason the rock on my addons seems a bit weird, like cartoonish and the trees dont go all the way to the top, I´ve seen some videos where it looks same as mine and others where it looks way better. I dont know if there is some update and it hasnt been uploaded but yeah, kind of a bummer.

  2. there is an update

    • Water elevation bug fixed
    • Mountain changes / revision
    • New scenery configurator options
    • Added details around the mountain
    • Crossing animation refinements
    • General Bug fixes
    • Other improvements
  3. I was totally skeptical at first since the mountain doesn’t look that good but holy heck this airport + scenery is amazing. No fps drops at all while I had huge frame rate issues with Sam + Asobo combo. Only negative I miss the Asobo rock formation on the mountain but dang the scenery is really good on this and the airport is great.

  4. Uninstalled Asobo’s airport, quit the sim, installed this one and most of the fences around are high above the ground.

    1. Agree. It is simply awful. The default is better by far, actually this looks bad enough to consider removing it

  5. I have a problem. The MSFS does not replace the scenery and everything remains the same. I have not installed any scenery from Asobo or 3dSamScene.

    1. You have to remove the Asobo default one. Go to the content manager and delete LXGB then clear the cache and install this one

      1. See my guide further down if you don’t know how to do this yourself.

You have to clear every .DAT file out of your LocalCache folder if you’re having problems getting it to show up.

      1. ok thanks, but does it work the other way around? with the strobe lights on and traffic ON??? so if I pass on the track I find the cars…

  6. The Airport showed not in the Sim, Default LXGB & 3DSenicLife Version deinstalled. Game restarted.

    1. Yes, I have the same issue.

It shows up as “Installed” in my Content Manager but it simply doesn’t show up when I load into it from the World Map.

      So far I’ve tried:

      • putting this RDPresets version in my Community folder
      • uninstalling the Asobo version
      • removing the SamScene scenery
      • quitting and restarting the sim many times
      • rebooting my PC many times
      • deleting the Gibraltar Discovery Flight via Content Manager
      • deleting the Gibraltar Landing Challenge via Content Manager
      • deleting my Rolling Cache
      • adding the RDPresets to my Content.xml file (to see if that would give it greater priority over the default scenery)
      • moving the add-on to the Official folder (to see if that would override the default scenery)
      • searching the word ‘Gibraltar’ in Content Manager and deleting everything that shows up
      • removing the entire Iberian World Update (to make sure I’ve gotten rid of absolutely anything over and above the base Gibraltar scenery)
      • deleting any references to old Gibraltar scenery from my LocalCash>SceneryIndexes folder
      • deleting and re-downloading the RDPresets version (including leaving the folder as the default filename)

      Still it doesn’t work.

It just loads the default stock scenery.

      Any ideas from anyone?

      1. I’ve figured it out!!

Annoyingly I was actually very close with one of the things I’d tried above.

If you have the Steam version, go to:
        C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes

If you have the MS Store version, go to:
        C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SceneryIndexes

Delete every file that ends in .DAT.

        Load up the sim.

        Problem solved!

(I had already tried this method but I only deleted .DAT files that related to Gibraltar. Best delete everything – the sim will simply rebuild it when you next load it up.)

  7. Just tried with Cesna C172 default MSFS, no plane off at the gate, the level crossing remains closed with no traffic, with the plane on, the level crossing is open with traffic… am I missing something?
