KSNA John Wayne airport is a commercial and general aviation airport that serves Orange County, California, and the Greater Los Angeles area. John Wayne Airport is the second-busiest airport in the Greater Los Angeles area. The airport is served by Southwest, American, United, Alaska, Spirit, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue and Air Canada.
This airport represents a leap forward in improved HD PBR mater … read moreials and Level of Detail for UK2000. Hundreds of custom-made models and images accurately designed and placed, but more importantly done in an efficient fast performance way, so you don’t end up with GBs of data slowing your PC down. It includes line markings with ‘black’ borders, just like must US airports have.
We’ve remodelled our GA aircraft library collection to have more details with PBR materials, plus new models like the C172, SR22, P51 and B-17 for the museum. There are many GA light aircraft placed around the airport, just like the real airport.(will not clash with AI, so you get both) It also has many open hangars that you can start your flight from, complete with internal details.
The airside terminal is modelled with internal details, including passengers, seats, plants, vending machines and fast food outlets. There a 21 unique animated Jetways with high details to dock with your aircraft with, plus other animated models. Many other windows have Parallax effects to produce a fake internal effect. The “Helistream” building on the north side is also modelled with a landable surface
Features:
• Full detail Buildings
• Realistic Ground Markings
• Hi Res ground image
• Stunning Night Effects
• High details Airport Vehicles
• Excellent Frame Rates
• Full set of signs
• Fencing
• GA Static Aircraft
• Vegetation
• PBR Materials
• Animated ‘WigWags’
• Animated Radar

Nice airport, but the buildings do not illuminate at night.
So just to be sure when it comes to the UK2000 library; we should get this one (v1.1.6) because the one from the Marketplace (v1.1.4) is not yet updated, correct?
And as soon as Microsobo pushes the v1.1.6 updated one trough the Marketplace, we will be able to again use that one with these releases – without any issues – right?
Hey, thank you People of the Plaza for everything you offer to the community! ❤️
Yeah, or always get it from here instead of waiting for the marketplace which could take months to update: https://www.uk2000scenery.net/forum/index.php?topic=316.0
This is the only way the objects would show up for me. I tried with the library that you included with the airport and it gave me a materials conflict with Addon Linker so i corrected the conflict and then no objects showed up….
ohh, guys just shut up and play !
Looks like Im missing some static models such as the planes at the museum, what UK2000 library do I need to have installed?
Odd, actually KSNA didn’t come with a libraries folder, it seems to have one integrated. But try installing one of the other uk2000 sceneries (EGGW, EGPE, EGPF, EGGD), maybe it’ll fix the problem
So I actually purchased the scenery from their website and still have the same issue. I tried adding the folder from one of the other sceneries and that didn’t work either. So I’m not sure what is happening. Thanks for the suggestion
You should definitely send them a support inquery now that you purchased it.
Talking with them now. Thanks <3
The airport is filled with static on my end. Make sure to download the common library from their site (it’s an exe file that installs it to your community folder). Don’t use the common library they provide on the marketplace because it’s behind in updates.
My favourite aspect of Gary’s UK2000 scenery is his ridiculous character models. He seriously has a guy wearing a suit on the right side of his body, whilst his left side is cut off shorts and a sleevless arm! Another great model is his footballer, in full gear. Then he populates his airports with predominantly these two models, usually in conversation with each other. I have no idea where he got these, or why he puts them in as he’s voluntarily placing a huge cowpat into his own work, but it’s amusing nonetheless, and now US fans can get to experience them.
Anyone else getting really low FPS? seems not optimized well
Yeah it’s very stuttery
Yes, terrible when compared even with much higher quality airports.
It’s not the Airport that is causing really bad performance, it’s the fact that it is sitting right smack dab in the middle of photogrammetry, photogrammetry that is also really poorly optimized.
I turned off Photgrammetry and haven’t really missed it too much. Has saved me a lot of FPS on flights
Uk2000 airports why have they moved to the USA? What happened to the uk2000 brand 😂😂😂 they do great products but why move to america to do airports there
Gotta cover the colonies as well 🙂
Gary isn’t very talented at modeling, his strong area is boring, rectangular buildings with metal siding, airports from here in the USA are a perfect fit for him.
Guess so matey….it’s just strange doing a whole uk2000 range then this? I mean it is totally nuts doing UK airports then all of a sudden…bam! Hit the US. I wouldn’t have a clue how to make sceneries myself but I know allot of people/companies put the time and effort including pilotplus (Bristol airport) and gayasimulations (berlin-tegal) and many others do some really fantastic stuff! I love exploring these airports …allot …also at st. marteeen (if it’s spelt right)? Also what a great airport! Amazing stuff! Blown away 👀(not literally on the beach by an airplane)😂😂😂…but on the other side of things there are some great “freeware” that knocks the pants of some of the paid alternatives especially on the other flightsim website too!
I guess he got sick of other developers like Pilot Plus and Pyreguee coming along and doing much better jobs of the airports he had covered. To his credit though, he is getting better. Cardiff is very decent and I happily bought that one.
