Until Update V FS2020 had no operable seaplane bases. Now we have many, but not all. Our scenery expansions address that shortcoming.
This scenery expansion adds some important detail and also makes it possible to use flight planners in MSFS, whether LittleNavMap or the default FS map. Now your flights have a new destination and departure, enhanced by terraforming, lighting, new docks and support … read more buildings.
This pack includes:
• CAJ8 Pitt Meadows Airport
• CAU8 Rivers Inlet Airport
• CAW1 Shearwater (Bella-Bella) Airport
• CAW5 Port Hardy Airport
• CPW9 Port Alberni Airport
• CYYJ Victoria International Airport (adding the float dock at the airport)
CYYJ Victoria is the capital of the province of British Columbia and it sits on the southern tip of Vancouver Island on the Saanich Peninsula. With a population of 90,000 in the metropolitan area, the Greater Victoria area sits around 360,000. With nearly a mediterranean climate and annual rainfall considerably less than soggy Vancouver, its a year round destination for travelers.
Victoria Airport sits on the north end of the Saanich Peninsula. This expansion adds the float dock on the west side of the airport as well as buildings and terraforming.
CAJ8 Pitt Meadows on the Fraser River lies just east of metro Vancouver. Its a transition point for those heading for locations up the coast or in the BC interior.
CPW9 Port Alberni is a deep port city lying at the head of Alberni Inlet. Forestry is the chief employment. Port Alberni, central in the island, is an air hub for traffic north and west in particular. Fishing charters from this port city are famous.
CAW5 Port Hardy is the gateway to Cape Scott Provincial Park, but also offers access to spectacular wilderness destinations, with kayaking, scuba diving, fishing and camping being a few. It also serves as an air hub for destinations north and east.
CAU8 Rivers Inlet is set in a beautiful fjord off Fitz hugh Sound, about 125 km southwest of Bella Coola, and about 65 km north of Vancouver Island. It has a well known salmon run that attracts sportsment, and its also a destination for loggers.
CAW1 Bella Bella (Shearwater) sits on the east coastline of Campbell Island, about 180km north of Port Hardy. It sits on the Inside Passage, a major sea transportation route linking the area to all regions north including Alaska. The resumption of ferry service and a major air route from Port Hardy contributed to the towns revival.
This version of these bases assumes photogrammetry is ON. Things will look odd otherwise. The scenery does use terraforming but terraforming near water is far from perfect.
There are 3 flight plans including using two of the new float bases. You will also need to DL the CYSE float base and scenery for CYSE at Flightsim.to (link is included). Setup instructions are also included for LittleNavMap (“Documentation” subfolder)

Shearwater doesn’t look anywhere close to that…
The image in the post is just a sample. This is a pack that adds floatplane facilities / elements to numerous airports.
Really good with the GotFriends/Gravel’s 500e and Cowan’s 222 but stutters like crazy with the H125 and Taog’s piece of shit alouette helicopter. I guess those helis just aren’t optimized as well as GotFriends/Gravel’s!
Haven’t got around to testing these yet, but noticed there may be a couple of airports that need flagging as they could conflict with the other release from KStorm Computing (i.e. CAU8/CAW5). Thanks as ever, keep up the great work. Off topic but quite sad to see the recent demise of RARBG. Long live SP!
