Brussels Airport, or Brussels-National as it’s also known is located 12 km north-east of Brussels in the municipality of Zaventem. Serving close to 25 million passengers in 2019 it clocked in as the 24th busiest airport in Europe.

Featuring three runways the longest being just above 3,600m laid out as two parallel runways (07L/25R & 07R/25L) and one crosswind runway (01/19).

Just north of Brussels airport you’ll find Melsbroek Air Base, home to the Belgian Air Forces transport wing. Even though it’s defined as its own airfield it shares the same runways as Brussels airport.

Installation runs via Aerosoft One, this requires an internet connection and an Aerosoft user account!

    Does anyone have difficulty with this airport ( CDT ), it loads normally and after a few minutes on the ground the FS closes, I don’t have any other airport, than this one from Aerosoft any ideas

      Probably removing Voloport from the content manager ingame. Had this problem for LFPO, it was resolved with this solution

      I tried most Aerosoft airport with this and none working, Aerosoft probably implemented a non licensed airports detection, so this is useless. The free Nool VDGS works at the comnpatible airpots.
      Don’t waste your time with those Aerosoft airports, VDGS won’t work!

      Justsim is quite incorrect, lots of details completely wrong or missing. Worked at the airport for 3 years, aerosoft is the scenery to use.

    VDGS worked good, but accuracy not enough…

    Hi, when I drop Airport to community I don’t see it in game. I had a previous version and i delete it and copy new one. I see standart EBBR airport

    Wish there was a light version without interiors. Everything to help my cpu haha. i9 11900 and rtx3080 get only 25ish FPS. Still, was in the real hangar today and it felt as if I had been on the tarmac already

      you guys have this high specs and I have the gtx1660ti with i7 10750K cpu. how much fps you expect me getting from this specs I think mine will crash

        Not true.

        Most airfields are heavy on the CPU.

        My GPU or RAM is never bottlenecked, it is always my main threat.

      If would suggest you to tweak the settings a bit, I’m sure you can gain a huge amount of fps.
      By doing so I always have stable 30-35 fps (cockpit and external) on this airport with fenix A320 or pmdg 737 and sim graphics settings set to high/ultra.
      (RTX 2070, i5-9600k, 32Gb RAM)

    is just me or are there light poles where they shouldn’t be? i can’t see the marshal boards at some stands because light poles are in the way.. i only have this ebbr addon

    Thank you for updating. I do have a question. Can i rename the folder, and still use the vdgs? Or must i stick with the default folder name?

      Haven’t tried this out, but you could change the “packageName” entry inside the “aerosoft-vdgs-driver/airports/aerosoft_ebbr.xml” file so it matches with your renamed one.

    Unfortunately, although it’s a very nice scenery, the jetways do not allign well at the 747. And all gates are assigned as small or medium, while there are some, that can acommodate the 747. I hope they fix this, cause it’s a pity to have such a nice addon ruined for this little detail.

    One of the very best airports at all!

    For those having troubles or going to install for first time:

    – download the file
    – unpack it directly into the MS community folder
    – run Aerosoft One
    – on the left side of it there are some register cards. Dont know the exact one anymore but click through it until you find the VGS as proposed new content to install
    – install it
    – run the game
    – Hit shift-v

    Everything should work.
    The VOR issue some people report is an old friend of EBBR. Dont know how many hours I spent on it until I recognized it’s a Bug at all. My hope was that the new airport will fix it…

      did it exactly the same way you said but the EBBR airport wont show up in the VDGS menu ingame. i am right in front of the terminal and it says “NO ITEMS DISPLAY”

      Okay, it is important that the folder from the airport has the correct designation. It seems that I had an older version, or the folder name was simply wrong. It must be “aerosoft-airport-ebbr-brussels”. Otherwise the VDGS menu does not work.

    Hey there people, I’ve installed the airport which is amazing but I’m having few problems with the VDGS, I Installed them via Aerosoft One and then I run the .exe and it stays in the backgroumd, I have to go to details of the task administrator for find it, I ran it in regular and admin and nothing. I have the airport installed right at Community and no addons linker.

    I have LatinVFR static planes installed and it works in all airports except this one ………btw

    in-game ground planes slider set to 0 or 100 makes no diff…..

        no they were already put in the extra folder that I downloaded in the torrent folder that I downloaded I just moved them to the community folder

      Register in aerosoft, follow the instructions in the readme file that is inside the Extras folder and have all the aerosoft airports in the community folder, if you have them with AddonLinker remove them from there or it will not work for you

        Copy the folder lib. in the extra folder to your community folder. No problems at all, everything works!

      Have a 11th i9 and 3080 ti and runs smooth. Maybe an addon that conflicts with the scenery? First I’ve got stutters but I’ve removed some addons as real taxiways, make sure you’ve delete other scenery of EBBR from justsim and in the content.xml delete those records. Runs smooth now without stutters.

      Explain “struggling”? How many FPS you’re getting? I just want to compare out of curiousity.

        I do play on 1440p Ultra, average of 30. Rare dips to 25 and sometimes up to 38. Normally, I have an almost constant 60fps. You?

    I personally prefer the JustSim version, (although Aerosoft is recommended),cause in Aerosoft even the gates that can accomodate heavy aircrafts like the 747, are classified as medium. Besides that, jetways don’t attach very well on the 747.

    I followed the alternative installation of the VDGS,but when i press shift+v, it doesn’t open the UI.Does someone know how to do it?

      I got to open it by manual start the VDGS program, but when using it I get an error and the program shut down. Also the black screens in the sim are not visible.

        Solved! I’ve signed in with Aerosoft One, let it install by they installer (data.exchange and driver.vdgs mfs) afterwards make sure you copy the content (modellib.) to your community folder, you found this in the aerosoft EBBR folder in the map extra. Works great now without errors! Thanks Simplaza!

          I found the solution. Remove Aerosoft airports from AddonsLinker and put them in the community folder. It works now
