  4. Ok, so i purchased this product prior to finding this great site. I am using the inimanager to update the scenery to the newest one and i am getting an “epram” error. I removed the iniOKC which i just downloaded yesterday thinking there could have been a conflict but it still gave me the same error Anyone else have this issue by chance?

    In these 3 screenshots, every setting is maxed, except the Objects Level of Detail.
    In 1st screenshot, it is set to 10, in 2nd screenshot to 90, in 3rd screenshot to 200. But what i notice, is that the jetways start to ”dissapear” if i increase the setting from 100 and above. Why does this happen? i mean, shouldn’t it be the opposite way?

  6. How do I get the vdgs system working? I’ve followed the instructions step by step but the command line prompt keeps saying it can’t find the root folder.
    I am using the addon linker app if that makes any difference.

  7. Is there a way to uninstall the Asobo version of this airport? Can you go to the content manager and take it out from there? Also does it cause a frame rate hit? The Asobo version causes me to drop frames big time.

  8. Ok um, from 2.49gbs, to 4.68gbs (have hd textures instead of sd). Well if there’s not really a substantial difference, i don’t think i will upgrade, for now, just to save some space, as my hard disk is literally crying out for help lmao.

  9. Be aware that the GSX file contained in the folder is incorrect. The KLAX-IniVkt.ini file points to a “klax-airport.bgl” file that is no longer there and has been replaced by a new file called “klax-scene-airport.bgl” (sucks that inibuilds didn’t spot that). The file “KLAX-IniVkt.ini” needs to be edited with the changes above and moved or copied to the “…\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS” folder.

  10. Hello, I have a small question, which also applies to other scenarios and which I still don’t quite understand. I have gsxpro, the scenario I saw has a folder called GSX Profile, the file inside it must be placed in the GSX profile folder or simply nothing needs to be done and gsx will automatically read the file in the scenario folder? Thank you.

  11. The included GSX profile isn’t correct? It referes to klax-airport.bgl but there is no such file in the Scenery folder. I think it has to be klax-scence-airport.bgl ?

  12. So I removed the old airport and placed this one in but it does not work for me. Nothing from this shows up. I placed the asobo one back in and kept this one in and than part of this one showed up back in game which made no sense to me. Any help?

    1. Disable/uninstall the default LAX. Delete the cache. Close the sim, Delete the scenery indexes. Install this LAX version, run the sim.

  13. Previous installed download was 5.77GB. This latest updated is about 3GB.
    what influences the 2.5GB less when installed?

  14. v1.1.0 feels a lot better and and a lot smoother! Even in higher settings. Now yes, it’s playable. Hope they do such updates on their other products as well. tyvm for the update!

    1. Deinstall from the content manager inside the Sim, best way to do.
      If you have too you can install it again at any time you want..

  16. This scenery is with my equipment unplayable. I7 . RTX 3060 Thanx SP to open my eyes and save a lot of money.

      i have pretty old pc ( ryzen 1700/ 1070GTX/ 16gb 3200 ram) and its completely playable
      getting 35-38 fps ( outside of the 737 cockpit ) and 30 fps inside the cockpit without FSTL …

  17. Loaded with My Ryzen 5 3550h CPU and RX560x(GTX 1050 Radeon analog, not 1050TI btw) inside of CS777-300, and it had the same amount of fps as usual. People, either turn off multiplayer and life traffick(causes high CPU usage), or upgrade your RAM(I have 24GB, out of which 2 goes to integrated GPU). I do deeply despise the advice of “JuST UpFraDE YoUR PC LoL” too, but additional 16GB cost only around 100$, cmon. The RAM usage with MS Edge open in background is around 15-16 GB(and PC starts to lose more and more frames when RAM usage goes up to 80% and above). Additionally, as I’ve said, lower CPU related settings(Multiplayer and Life Traffic are heavile dependant on CPU, but they’re not only one).

  18. Hey @Simplaza – is there any chance for manual instructions on how to turn off the excess ramp static objects to help on frames? I dont want to turn it down in the sim just for one airport.

    1. This is not trivial, there’s no .bgl file for these ramp objects, so you’ll have to open the airport with the MSFS SDK, remove them by hand, recompile the airport and hope everything’s still working afterwards

  19. As I am using msfs premium deluxe version, wich have KLAX included, how do I disalble/erase asobo version, in order to use this one?

  20. This airport is VERY heavy on VRAM, so if you have performance issues, it’s probably that. Turning off ground traffic seems to help a lot.

    1. Same issue. Spikes my VRAM base above 80% even to 90. Doing the slightest thing crashes. Same issue as the STL scenery.

  21. For those having FPS issues, turn OFF multiplayer. If you already have it off, then turn traffic off as well. This scenery cannot “have it all”, gotta sacrifice somewhere.

    For me, it worked with leaving traffic ON and turning off multiplayer. 32 FPS steady on the ground anywhere in the airport.

    1. They will never get their optimizations right. I think they run spaceship PCs in their testing. That’s my only explanation.

    2. I assume ULTRA preset 🙂 .. just lower some of your settings and it will be fine , not great but not terrible .

    3. Might want to look into something like what https://www.youtube.com/c/2020fsers is doing with clean driver installs and NV Control Panel settings, etc.

      Was just able to get Fenix on a 3080Ti/12600K on Ultra to about 34 fps in VC and about 40 fps exterior views with this version of LAX also running FSTL and GSX.

      There’s new DLSS in 1.29.22.0 that might help out here, too.

  22. people who claim this airport is good on fps either have good pc or their rendering isnt as high, i got rtx 2060 and i had alot of stuttering even on turbo mode enabled.. Inibuilds may make eye candy, appealin but the rendering is worst out of all the devs out there, least fps friendly.. I rather stick on default

      1. That’s not the goal at all. In the end it’s a FLIGHT simulator, not a screenshot sim.Eye candy, ok but it should still be smooth.

    1. For MSFS 2020 the least I would go with is a 3070 Ti and 32MB of DDR4 memory. The RTX 2060 only has 6GB of video memory. In DirectX 12 I’ve watched my 3090 Ti use up to 13GB of video memory at times.

      1. LOL! You running 8K or something? I’m fine with this airport and a 2060 and 16GB of RAM. The 3070 didn’t even exist when MSFS shipped. Of course you don’t need one ro run it. Nor do you need 32GB.

        1. MSFS has a tendency to use as much RAM as possible. The more memory you have, the more memory MSFS will use.

    2. i5 laptop here (with heavy RAM though), and I’m getting a steady ~32-35 fps on the ground (which is about what I get with stock) and ~45 fps in the air. I also fly solely in developer mode, so that may help me out a little too.

    3. What texture size are they building in? if they only build in 8K textures there lies the problem. Most don’t run in 8K. Developers need to take that into consideration when developing.

      1. That was one of the gripes from a Youtuber about 99% of the liveries from 3rd party aircraft is that they are all done in 8K. In cockpit his frames were great and his GPU would be running around 45-60. Switching to the exterior his GPU and VRAM would soar up to high 80’s or low 90’s. Why developers feel the need that we need something as simple as the livery texture to be in 8K is beyond me. Especially when 4K monitors are still the minority as far as computer users go. I’m not the type of person who spends my entire flight from the outside of the cockpit. I see people streaming while in cruise and they’re always placed with an outside view. IMO, making the entire livery 8K is about as useful to me as if they made the tire textures 8K. Don’t use and don’t care about it at all.

    1. Not going to spend money on IniBuilds products ever again. IniBuilds are a bunch of arrogant pricks who don’t respect their X-plane customer base who made them big. If X-plane didn’t exist, Microsoft didn’t notice them at all.

      1. You go where the money is. Capitalism 101. X-Plane is dead when compared to MSFS (not looking at the sims, but the customer base).

        1. I mean X-plane has always lived in the shadow of P3D to begin with anyways. P3D became what the previous sims before it couldn’t. Yet, now with MSFS2020, out of the box would require hundreds of dollars of addons and hours of tweaking. P3D is a good fallback but MSFS2020 is the way ahead. I TRIED XP a long time ago and I don’t remember a single thing about it. XP users come across as those type who are holding out for something that will never happen. I’m sure there are things about XP that are better in some aspects somehow, but generally, I think it was just another development grab for those who couldn’t run P3D to their liking.

    1. LOL, trololol. Having flown into LAX many a time I can surely attest that whatever Asobo has as their default or updates to their base airport is nothing compared to this. Like comparing a kids electric car to the real thing.

  24. It works perfect for me. 28-31 fps and FSLTL injected together with GSX. My graphics card is a GTX 1660 Super 6Gb, I have 32Gb RAM, and the global setting is High Quality. VSync activated. Thanks again SimPlaza

      1. 1080 TI Over 6 years Old Mediumn Settings This scenery and full Real Live Traffic not FSTL Frames 20-30 and fantastic to use if you require evidence just ask 😉

      2. Not only do you have to adjust the MSFS settings to High Quality. You also have to adjust the settings in the Nvidia control panel and have the Process Lasso application. You can easily find tutorials on youtube

      3. On the other hand, I must tell you not to try to get the fps that I have mentioned if you plan to use a plane such as lsh maddogx. Follow the steps I mentioned and try a flight with a Cessna 170 or 152

      4. It works fine for me along FSLTL and I have an ancient GTX1050 buddy. I intuit that you have your community folder full of addons. Try addon linker and activate just the sceneries you gonna use,

        1. I am waiting patiently for the midrange series 40series cards to come out to replace my 2060super. 1440p ultrawide needs a lot more GPU power.! DLSS is what’s saving this card atm.

    1. Yeah I highly doubt that, even on a 2070 Super this scenery eats up 8GB of VRAM and gets around the same FPS or lower. Unless you have that 1660 Super paired with a very good CPU.

  26. Yeah, I get FPS drop but it is acceptable considering how immersive and realistic it can be. Together with FSLTL + default ATC, I’ve never heard real take-off sound like it before. Working great on DX12 as well on 4K Max settings. Not the best MS airport but definitely one of the top 10 I would say.

  27. I know my system very well and how accurate i can gage things to figure out if it’s my fault or the airport’s fault.

    With that said, simply put: They made it worse with this update in terms of performance. Inibuilds need to get their #@$% together. All their airports suffer from this issue.

  28. USA Photogrammetry has been half the FPS since SU6 and Asobo has not optimized it. Disable PG entirely for double the FPS on the ground. Run Dev mode to remove stuttering.

  29. I’m already satisfied with Asobo KLAX. I feel that using Inibuilds is basically trading half the fps just for mere additional details that won’t make much difference to me.

  30. I don’t have any missing/pink textures, but it’s still very very heavy for fps. New version may have gained me 1-2 fps tops, but still, im at the lowest possible settings, and still i get around 20fps. Rtx 3050 Gpu usage is around 4,5-5Gbs out of 3,313Gbs. It still needs a looooot of performance improvement.

    1. You have to remember what area it is in… especially if you have photogrammetry & live weather enabled, along with a plethora of other settings. You are having to load several major airports at once along with several large metro areas. It’s going to need a beefy system and yours probably isn’t going to cut it for MSFS too much longer if you want to keep running large addons like this. They are only going to keep getting more resource intensive as time goes on.

      TLDR: Time to upgrade your system.

    2. That is simply not enough VRAM on that GPU to render such a high fidelity 3rd party airport. It simply cannot, you are below specs required for this kind of addon.

      1. While yes his VRAM is filling up…but Inibuilds made it worse with this update. V 1.0.0 was better in terms of performance. I have no idea what they’re doing there, they need to get their %$%# together. All their airports suffer from this problem.

    3. Are you expecting good performance on a low end rtx card?
      Get an RTX 3060 at least. The sim requires 8gb of VRAM or better yet more!!!

      1. Dude, it may be a low end rtx card, but when i read that it gets about 20fps with the 3050, and another guy has an rtx 3090 who still gets no more than 25 fps, that tells me a lot. It’s an airport issue, not a card issue. Period.
        Hell, even their EGLL Heathrow has better performance than this.

  31. Went back to Asobo… FSLTL is more important and have to say I’m shocked it was Freeware which is rare these days… Could not resolve the conflicts and furthermore planes spawned 20 ft off the ground with this… I’ll pass… LAX is a madhouse and people do not simulate there anyways, just game…

    By the way, i found this mod not impressive that much. I’d make a turn with the drone inside the airport and there is nothing, all gates are empty. Someone else has the same or i did miss something and this cosmetics is’t just for the runways??

    1. I’ve had this issue too. There’s a lot of detail in there but for some reason it doesn’t appear sometimes

      Had the same issue with the satelite gates and the construction area

  33. They obviously tested without FSLTL or maybe even without any traffic. As soon as you inject any kind of traffic, it turns into a stutter show. Same applies to their KSAT.

    They need to take a different route in the way they test the performance before releasing/updating their airports.

      1. The problem was DX12. So i recommend anyone who’s having problems with this and FSLTL to use DX11 before giving up. Still not breathtaking performance with DX11 (around 26-31 FPS depending where you go around the airport) but i’ll take it.

  35. Great airport! a little heavy on fps with fstl ON but awesome nevertheless, just turn off fstl on landing and perfect!

      1. Either your antivirus (if you use one) blocked them from getting extracted, or your archives are damaged and they’re missing/corrupt. Disable your antivirus and also try testing the archives with WinRAR

  36. All their stuff is very poorly optimized. Even on the best devices they struggle. Should have stuck to making high quality aircraft rather than this asset-flipping-airport builder path they took.

  37. Is there any fix for the traffic (cars) crossing the runway? Happens with Asobo Klax also. Must be a SU10 thing, because i notice it on other places also. (Out in the water from Manhattan).

      I have figured out that anywhere there are tunnels that cars drive through they will actually drive OVER them. Thus, the river cars in New York. They are actually driving through the Holland Tunnel. This can be seen anywhere cars go underground. Also, notice that in many places, cars will simply rise in the air or drop from / to bridges. it’s actually really funny to watch. Like invisible elevators taking vehicles up or down.

    2. You can make a scenery project yourself and add a polygon that excludes road traffic. And while at it maybe upload that exclusion polygon scenery to flightsimto like with Kai Tak airport 😉

  38. With this scenery my MSFS closes. It says it is due to overheat or driver issues. Anyone with this error?

    1. Me too there seems to be an issue with this scenery causing CTD with driver issues on the RTX 3070 with latest drivers on both DX11 and 12

    the framerates are actually fine, what kills my FPS is quicklooks with the coolie hat (off-screen pre-caching issues)

  40. SimPlaza is amazing, letterally. What I miss more and I beg to SP is to have more pics about the addo-ons. I know I’m asking too much, but it would be magic if instead of one pic we can have more… just for eyes candy. <3 U endlessly

    1. If you want eye candy, view all the extra imagery at fselite.net. I’d rather see SimPlaza spend time gathering products than making screenshots.

    1. I only found the frames and stutters started when I vamped up my AI percentage. By itself it’s a very well done airport. I’m sure if you played with your settings you could get to a happy place but most people load it in and when they see the performance hit ditch it.

    2. what gpu you have? with a 3070 in 2k i get 34fps on the ground…. 26 if i enable flybywire traffic….

  41. Should 1 uninstall Asobo KLAX before running this? Checked CM & found both still there. &BTW, MANY, MANY THX to SIMPLAZA. U Peeps are just totally awesome

      1. how do you disable? i keep deleting ORD for example and it keeps redownloading when i start the game up

    1. Performance is outstanding for an airport this large. Have locked 30fps all the time with my “vintage” 2080Super even wit AI Traffic.

    2. Go back to TAA. DLSS is still unstable. The developer surely didn’t use DLSS for this addon. TAA is perfect, running at HIGH END (GTX 2060super, Ryzen 7 3700x and 16GB RAM), going at 40FPS.

    1. As someone who was in the game for a long time back when Simflyers pre FSDT dropped their PHX scenery thinking it was the best thing ever, I can honestly say you have no idea what you’re talking about. Go take a look at the Feelthere comment section on here, not one positive comment.

      1. Thanks. And I remember they updated Heathrow which gave massive improvements to performance and improving the details. Hoping this beautiful airport runs well on my 2060!

  42. We always get the warning about how these 3rd party airports conflict with Asobo Studio airports. However I have the Premium edition with Asobo premium airports still installed, all of them, and none of them seem to cause any issue. If I add one of these enhanced airports it simply appears in place of the Asobo premium airport. This is in SU10.

    Is this uninstalling of the Asobo airports actually required or just in case, or can you expect a rare issue sometimes and I’m just lucky?

    1. KLAX comes with the standard edition. Depends on the dev and airport, some manage to exclude Asobo ones just fine so they both work at the same time, I guess iniBuilds too since they don’t mention it anywhere. Still recommend to uninstall it though.
